Bandy Brooks
Bandy lives in Garnett, Ks. He is 14 years old and attends school at Anderson County Jr. Sr. High School. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and Natural Helpers, he also plays basketball.
Bandy has been riding all of his life, running barrels since he was 4 or 5 years old. Starting out at youth rodeo’s, running barrels, poles and breakaway roping, he decided that he just wanted to go fast. That is when he joined NBHA and started going to 4D barrel races.
Attending Spoon Creek Junior Rodeo Bible Camps Bandy did trick riding. He now volunteers at the Junior and Senior Bible Camps as a barrel instructor. Bandy and his friend Wayne still like to trick ride.
Bandy trains his own horses, with help from his parents. Someday he would like to train barrel horses for a living. In the summer he rides horses for other people. He also would like to put on Barrel Racing Clinics.
